Right of withdrawal

 

A. General principles

All customers have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason, except for contracts in which there is no right to withdraw from the contract and which are described in point B.

B. Absence of right of withdrawal under Article 38 or circumstances in which the consumer loses the right of withdrawal

1. PERIODICALS AND MAGAZINES. Pursuant to Article 38 of the Act of 30 May 2014 on Consumer Rights the right of withdrawal does not apply to the customer with respect to contracts for the supply of periodicals or magazines with the exception of a subscription contract.

 

2. E-BOOKS. Pursuant to Article 38 of the Act of 30 May 2014 on Consumer Rights, as to the digital content (e-books), if the performance began with the express consent of the consumer before the expiry of the period for withdrawal from the contract and the User agreed to the performance before the expiry of the period for withdrawal from the contract does not have the right to withdraw from the contract.

 

C. Withdrawal instructions

 

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

 

The period of withdrawal shall expire 14 days after the date on which you purchased the books or a third party indicated by you other than the currier purchased the books.

In order to exercise your right to withdraw from the contract, please let us know (Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego, ul. Michałowskiego 9/2, 31-126 Kraków, tel. 12-631-01-97, e-mail: reklamacja@wuj.pl) your decision in a clear statement (for example, a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail).

You may use the attached withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.

In order to meet the withdrawal deadline, just send the information concerning the exercise of your right of withdrawal before the expiry of the deadline.

 

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, all payments received from you will be reimburses, including the delivery cost (excluding any additional costs arising from your choice of delivery method other than the least expensive usual delivery method), as soon as possible and in any event no later than 14 days from the date on which we are informed of your decision.

We will refund your payment using the same means of payment as used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not be charged any fees in connection with such refund.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the item or until we have received evidence of its return, whichever earlier.

Please return or hand over the goods to us immediately and in any event no later than 14 days from the date on which you inform us of your withdrawal from the contract. The deadline is met if you send the item back before the expiry of the 14-day deadline.

You will have to bear the direct costs of returning the goods.

You shall only be liable for any reduction in the value of the item resulting from its use other than what was necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the item.

 

D. Withdrawal form

The form should be filled in and returned only in case of a desire to withdraw from the contract, the form is not obligatory.
