We are pleased to present you another publication from the “Dydaktyka akademicka” series, this time devoted to the idea of teaching excellence. An inherent feature of every university is the pursuit of research excellence. Each university undertakes many activities to improve scientific quality. For research universities, research excellence is a priority. However, without students, without the educational process, the university would become an academy of sciences and would lose its identity. It is worth ensuring high quality of education. The monograph presents the university's activities aimed at achieving teaching excellence.
The publication includes texts embedded in the paradigms of various scientific disciplines and subdisciplines, such as pedagogy, andragogy, pedeutology and human resources management, combining theoretical and practical approaches, which allows for a multidimensional analysis of the presented issues. Combining various voices, experiences and approaches, the monograph aims not only to present the current state and challenges facing contemporary higher education and examples of good practice in dealing with them, but also to inspire further activities and experiments that may contribute to its further development. We believe that it will be an interesting read for everyone interested in improving higher education and developing the academic community. We invite you to join us on a journey in search of teaching excellence.
In this volume of the series, we focus on three key areas that are of fundamental importance for shaping the future of higher education in Poland: a) implementation of teaching-related projects financed from external sources, including those from the "University Teaching Excellence" program and Erasmus plus Strategic Partnership , b) university education (academic didactics), especially innovative methods of teaching and assessing students, as well as c) issues related to the well-being of academic staff. The structure of the book refers to the indicated thematic fields.
