Heroic Myth Through the Perspective of Philosophical and Cultural Anthropology
The author analyzes the silhouette of a mythical hero. He presents it from the point of view of two research perspectives: that of cultural and philosophical anthropology. Combining these two viewpoints enriches considerably the existing publications devoted to this issue and it allows one to draw conclusions which exceed the boundaries of cultural anthropology, at the same time enabling one to formulate more general conclusions relating to human nature. According to the author, the character of the hero corresponds precisely to the range of meanings which emerge during the process of hermeneutics of the concept of life; that is why, it represents what is most intimate and close to man.
