The study is on the border between ethnolinguistics and dialectology and its aim is to reconstruct the linguistic worldview of a rural society based on the ways of how its locals name plants, which should indicate the characteristics of a common man. The subject of the analysis comprises 651 names of plant life used in the speech of Gorals from the region of Rabka – the residents of a few villages in the northwest of Podhale.
