Author of books and articles about U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. attorney general, checks-and-balances system, American criminal procedure, and campaign finance in the U.S. Grantee of Sasakawa Young Leaders’ Fellowship Fund at Catholic University of America (Washington D.C.), and JFK Institute for North American Studies (Freie Universitaet Berlin).
Dr MACIEJ TUREK, Ph.D., Jagiellonian University in Krakow Assistant professor at the Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora of the Jagiellonian University. Dr Turek’s research interests lie in American politics, elections, campaign finance and flaws of contemporary American democracy. He is an author of Office of the Vice President of the United States. Political Analysis (Kraków 2014), and co-editor of 2012 Presidential Election in the United States: Expectations and Challenges (Kraków 2014). He also published several scholarly articles and book chapters on American politics.
Prof. ANDRZEJ MANIA, Ph.D., Jagiellonian University in Krakow Professor and chair of American Studies at the Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora at the Jagiellonian University. Prof Mania is fellow or visiting scholar at such institutions as: Kennan Institute of Advanced Russian Studies, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.; New College, Oxford Univ.; the Salzburg Seminar, SUNY at Buffalo, N.Y. at presidential libraries of F.D. Roosevelt, H. Truman, D. Eisenhower, J.F. Kennedy, L.B. Johnson, J. Carter, the Norwegian Nobel Institute, Oslo; Visiting Professor at University of Rochester Skalny Center for Polish and Central European Studies. Prof. Mania’s research interests concentrate on U.S. history, foreign and security policy of the U.S. He is author of numerous books and articles on U.S. foreign policy and U.S. institutions.
